Our current crisis has changed the way you can vote on June 23 - all voters will be eligible to vote from home (via absentee ballot) for the upcoming Democratic primary. Here's how you can get your ballot.

How to request an absentee ballot via the physical application

  1. Choose “Temporary Illness or Physical Disability” as your reason for requesting a ballot.
  2. Request a ballot for the primary
  3. Fill out your identifying information.
  4. Choose if you would like your ballot delivered to you at your specified address or to be picked up at the Board of Elections office by you or a designated individual.
  5. Sign the application
  6. Mail your application to the Manhattan Board of Elections office at New York County Board of Elections, 200 Varick St, Fl 10, New York, NY 10014 up to 7 days (June 16th) before the election (but mail it as soon as possible to make sure you get your ballot in time!) or deliver it to the Board of Elections up to the day before the election.

How to request an absentee ballot on nycabsentee.com

  1. Visit nycabsentee.com
  2. Click “Absentee Ballot Application”
  3. Fill out your First Name, Last Name, Birth Date, Borough, and Zip Code as they appear on your voter registration (you can check your location on voterlookup.elections.ny.gov).
  4. Choose if you would like your ballot delivered to you at your filed address, a different address, or to pick up at the Board of Elections office.
  5. Choose “Temporary Illness or Physical Disability” as your reason for requesting a ballot.
  6. If you would like to be notified about any updates to your request, fill out your contact information.
  7. Submit!

Once you receive your ballot

  1. Fill out your ballot.
  2. The last day to postmark and mail your ballot is June 22nd, and the last day to deliver it in person to a Board of Elections office is June 23rd. The Manhattan BOE office is 200 Varick St, Fl 10, New York, NY 10014.
